I was hoping to get a few new species of dragonflies in the salt marsh across the street from our beachhouse this trip, and I was lucky enough to get (at least) 2 new species – Four-spotted Pennants and these beauties, Carolina Saddlebags.
These two were generous enough to stick around for both Shari and I to get good shots – and both sexes at the same time (that’s always a nice bonus, methinks). Definitely worth seeing large.
