I’m Ready for My Close-Up, Now
I liked the way the sun caught this posing male Harlequin Ducks (Histrionicus histriconicus).
I’ve actually found that these are pretty sociable little ducks. Once we sat down, they seemed to enjoy our presence, going about their business or – occassionally – even posing and seemingly trying to get our attention.
We’ve seen over 100 each time we have gone to Barnegat – I’m not sure what it will be like to go in the summer when they aren’t there.
