Lyme Tyme

Well, it’s official. My wife has lyme disease (again) – she had a big, bad bullseye under her arm a few weeks back after our trip to Forsythe NWR. It sucks because she got really sick, and even missed a good friend’s wedding.

Now, I may be joining her. I got bitten by a tick which we found a few days after noticing her rash. I have also developed a semi-bullseye rash around the bite. The doc isn’t sure that it’s lyme disease, but I have displayed some of the symptoms – not enough to be sure, but too many to dismiss. So, I get the boobie prize – a prescription of Doxycycline for 10 days + a Lyme titer. Ain’t disease fun?
