Cape May Trip

Well, we had another good trip down toward the shore – this time to Cape May, NJ for some hiking, birding, photography and … well, a lot of driving, really. But it was worth it. Despite two days of rain, the trails were mostly dry, it was beautiful out, and we got to see a few new birds and got a LOT of great new pictures.

My wife also got a couple of great shots of a bald cardinal – talk about a miserable-looking creature…

Overall, though, it was a nice day for being outdoors – and getting a new species (black-and-white warbler) and some pictures for my life list didn’t hurt either.
