We’ve Come So Far and So Small a Distance

Well, I’m in the final week of work at my current company. It’s kind of bittersweet to leave – although it opens a lot of doors, it’s a scary proposition to get out there looking for something else. I’ve got the side projects, but I have a lot of stuff that I need to get done in a short time here first. Still not sure how they are going to pull off the transition, but I’m doing what I can until Thursday.

In the meantime, we had a BUSY weekend – it seemed like one project after another, followed by some cleaning, followed by a project, followed by more cleaning (two dogs together make exponentially more mess than their sum should). Shari and I barely stopped all weekend until yesterday, when she went down with a migraine. But at least we entered a photo contest at our local Wild Birds Unlimited. Here are the photos we submitted (my two on the left, hers on the right):

Personally, I think her pictures are going to win something, as much as I like mine. Damn her for getting better than me!!

UPDATE: They did – her downy won the competition
