Blogs in Error

Well, it’s official – WordPress 2.1 broke my blog, or rather the blog theme I chose. The theme I was using – Hemingway – isn’t fully widget-capable and/or ready for WordPress 2.1, and the modifications I made were even less so. So, there’s a lot of fixin’ necessary to make it right. So, assuming I have a free moment this weekend, I’m going to have to tackle the problem so that my links, etc. work.

Tonight is softball, and I’m excited to play again. I really want to get some at-bats so that I can use my blazingly slow footwork on the basepaths. Come to think of it, it’s probably better if the person behind me just hits a home run… I miss the sporting thing, and I need to get to doing more. I might have to grab Van for some pick-up hoops or something soon.

In the meantime, two of my cousins are graduating this weekend – Sarah from college, and Megan from high school, so we have two parties to go to. I’m looking forward to seeing all of them, particularly since they were all nice enough to re-schedule our family vacation this August to accomodate us (the original week was going to be impossible because Blair would be going back to school). I owe them all big – I guess I’ll be bringing the beer.

  • you just want me to play hoops with you because i’m shorter

  • No, I want to play you because (Armenian) white men can’t jump!

  • Argh, that really sucks. I’m about to try updating a blog for work, and I hope I don’t encounter problems like this. I hope you get everything fixed (although honestly, I haven’t noticed any problems … but I haven’t gone looking, either)

  • Well, part of the problem was that the theme I chose was already starting to show its age, and it didn’t do well with the new WordPress Code. I updated it to NinjaMonkeys – a mod of the original, and things seem to be working better. Now I just have to port over all of the tweaks that I made in the old theme!!

  • I was wondering what had happened! Glad you have figured it out!
