Twelve Spots, No Waiting

Things have been crazy busy at work, but it’s nice to be able to go 5 minutes down the road to a variety of habitats and go for short lunchtime (or thereabouts) hikes. Yesterday, I got to see this spectacular dragonfly, a Twelve-Spotted Skimmer (Libellula pulchella). It took a while to get him in a position for a good shot, but finally he acquiesed.
