The AFI has announced its list of the Top 100 movie quotes of all time. Many of them are no-brainers.
- #1 “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.” - GONE WITH THE WIND (1939)
- #3 “You don’t understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I could’ve been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am.” - ON THE WATERFRONT (1954)

Some are a bit more odd (such as “E.T. Phone Home” - E.T. (1982). But they missed a LOT of classics. Some that we came up with today…
